Fleming Rule is used to find the direction of motion and current in motor and Generator respectively
The history of Fleming rule were originated by John Ambrose Fleming in the late 19th century.
As a simple way its is used to find out the direction of motion in electric motor or the direction of current in electric generator.Each finger is assigned to a quantity ( Mechanical force, magnetic field and electrical current
According to the Faraday law of electromagnetic induction whenever conductor moves inside a magnetic field ,there will be an induced current in it .The direction of induce current in it is determine by Fleming Right hand rule .
According to this Rule “ Hold out the right hand with the first finger,second and thumb at right angle to each other .If Forefinger represent the direction of the line of force ,thumb represent the direction of motion or applied force ,then second finger point represent the direction of the induce current “

Fleming Left Hand Rule
When a current carrying conductor is placed inside a magnetic field ,a force act on the conductor ,in a direction perpendicular to both the direction of current and magnetic field
To determine the direction of force Hold out your left hand with the forefinger,second finger and thumb at the right angle to one another.If forefinger represent the direction of the field and second finger represent direction of current then thumb gives the direction of the force .
